Set up Personalization

Personalization is what makes Food Blog Studio different from using ChatGPT or Claude on your own. Here's what's in it and the order to do it in.

Personalization teaches the writers your blog, your voice, and your reader, so the drafts sound like you and link to your real posts. Connecting your blog takes about 3 minutes and your writing style about 8, and you only do it once.

What's in it

Click Personalization in the sidebar. It has three sections, plus Analytics and Ad Revenue if you have Analytics. Each section shows a chip so you can see what's done ("Connected", "2 of 3 saved", and so on). Work through them in order:

  1. Site Connectors: connect your blog

The most important step. It brings in every post, recipe card, and category. See Connect your blog.
  2. Writing Samples

Teach the writers how you sound. See Add writing samples.
  3. Context Profiles

Your Ideal Reader Profile and your Voice & Tone Profile.
  4. Analytics

Connect Google Analytics and Search Console. It's read only. See Connect Google Analytics and Search Console.
  5. Ad Revenue (beta)

Connect Raptive to see your earnings next to your traffic. Only you see them. Pending Mediavine/Journey API. See Connect Raptive.

Tip

Until your blog is connected, you'll see a red banner at the top of the app, or a Connect your blog step in Getting started.

Which tools use which samples?

  • Blog Post samples: Blog Writer
  • Caption samples: Social Captions
  • Newsletter samples: Email Newsletter

All three shape your Voice & Tone Profile, which every tool reads.

Keeping it current

  • Your blog keeps itself up to date. Click Sync now after publishing if you don't want to wait. See Keep your blog in sync.
  • As your writing changes, swap in newer samples, then click Regenerate from my samples.
  • Make sure the Personalization toggle in the chat box is on, so the writers use all of this. See The Personalization toggle.
